Smokey, this is not 'Nam. This is bowling. There are rules.

Recently a bunch of us fulfilled a long held promise to go out and bowl a few
frames at the Presidio Bowl.


I'm not ashamed to admit that these are some pretty sweet steppers.


F*****' Chapin... that creep can roll, man.


That night I discovered that action shots in bowling are surprisingly difficult to
capture on film. This one of Geoff is the best of the bunch.

Geoff always strikes an imposing figure, and on top of that he was by far the
best bowler in our group (not that that's saying much.) Notice how his ball is
about to nail a strike.


The evening's festivities were further enhanced by PBR's ASAP.

The next night was our own Betty Chapin's birthday, so a group of us headed
down to North Beach to celebrate in the best way we knew how...


...drinking and dancing.


Anu set up the festivities and picked out a place called Sake Lab for the night's
festivities.


You know it's a party when the shots are served in plastic dixie cups...

You know it is an even bigger party when Geoff starts handing out bear hugs...



...and getting in staring matches. You know, I didn't really notice it at first, but
I think that Anu is stone-cold Cold Lampin' in this picture. It is pretty impressive
that Geoff can keep a stare going in the face of such an onslaught of awesomeness...
