PLIG Reunion
After the trip up to Tahoe, I made my way back to San Francisco and immediately
flew to Wisconsin.
First on the agenda was a partial PLIG reunion. For the unintiated, the PLIG
is a secret society of my medical school buddies whose purpose was pretty much
limited to drinking beer. As for the name... in medical school there were a huge
number of groups you could join, most of them with names like FMIG (Family
Medicine Interest Group,) PIG (Pediatrics Interest Group,) GIG (Geriatrics
Interest Group), etc... In this spirit, we deemed ourselves PLIG (Posterior Left
Interest Group)as we always sat in the back left of the lecture hall.
At the graduation awards ceremony we bestowed upon ourselves one of the most
prestegious awards offered by the Univeristy of Wisconsin Medical School...

The Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence!!!
Anyway, a few of us were back in Madison for a few days so we decided to hit the
links at Odana Golf Course.

O swings like a girl.

Dodd winds up.

Braun-Town and Dodd try to figure out whose ball hooked farthest into the
woods.

After golfing we headed down to the Memorial Union Terrace to drink beers
by the lake. The boys have all seen this site, so they were well informed on
how to properly Cold Lamp.

I was going for the Colonel Klink monacle look, but Braun wouldn't let it pass.

Little Sister showed up and brought with her the ground rules for the "Terrace
Drinking Game (TM)" Basically she made up a list of things (ie: really bad sunburn,
dirt-stache, person wearing sunglasses at night, Mayor Dave, etc...) that, if spotted,
force everyone to drink. Highly entertaining.

I would never allow O to get fresh with my sister, but I guess I have to permit
her getting fresh with him?!? Makes me feel a little ill.

But I feel even more ill when he tries to get fresh with me.

No explanation necessary, except that I was doing the bar a favor.

Humanitarian and firefighter.

After the Terrace we went to Paul's Club where Big Brother joined the crew.

PLIG Represent!

It was getting late and some people were staying up past their bedtime.

O finally woke up from his little cat nap...

...and then proceeded to get rowdy and try to Hulk-Smash everything in sight.
All in all it was a successful PLIG outing, and it can still safely be said the the
achievements in the field of excellence remain at an absolutely outstanding level.
