24 Hour Party People

The first weekend Ellen was here to visit, Cynthia, my neighbor and fellow peds resident, and I threw are 2nd annual Backyard Bash.

Here Cynthia (who, by the way, is totally rocking the new stylish haircut,) Janelle, Geener, myself, Henry's tongue, Henry, and Henry's loud Hawaiian shirt get the party started.

Dave Wander(wo)man, Ashlee, and the new Peds GI fellow (Bitu?) hold court in the kitchen.

You know it's a party when there are three 3rd generation Nosek's drinking booze from blue ceramic teacups.

Huzzah!

Moving outside to the backyard... (L->R) Erin, Gabe, Beefcake, Cynthia, Fil, Geoff, Shon, Betty, James, Vivek, and C-Buck.

I was pleased to a see a strong representation from the new intern class. Here Natalie, Lisa, and Lisa get their first taste of Cold Lampin'!

Right after taking this picture Natalie and Katie legally changed their name to Lisa.

Charlie and Cynthia back in the kitchen.

Ladies love to love us. (L->R C-No, C-Buck, Frymoyer, and GlitterTong)

Anu, Cynthia, and Shon all pretty-like.

Frymoyer pauses to wave hello during his vigilent watch over the kegs.

Interns Represent!

Here my little-sib Mark Corden expertly lays down a solid Cold Lampin' pose (now I know why they paired the two of us) while I shed a single tear at the thought of how fast he has grown up.

C-Buck grins, Ellen looks mischievious, and I resume drinking from a teacup.

Hmm... Perhaps it's time for a dance party?!?

Damn straight it is!

Nuclear War... on the Dancefloor!

Notice how Geoff has to stoop down to fit in the picture.

Betty lays down the funk.

C-Buck manned the DJ station, and, despite his music duties, was still able to lay down...

...a veritable smorgasbord...

...of patented...

...C-Buck dance moves.

Little Sister makes a song request from Chris...

...and promptly does the Rumpshaker.

Ellen and Fil perform the Lambada... the forbidden dance?!?

Ah, Ellen... always up for the challenge.

Cynnie works it.

Madness... sheer madness.

Betty and I rise above it all.

Charlie started giving piggyback rides...

...50 cents a piece.

Meanwhile, what scandal was ensuing on the couch?!? Anu and GlitterTong?!?

Fil and I are aghast at the ramifications of it all.

Clearly on a roll, GlitterTong makes a move on Cynthia...

All of the excitement got me hot and bothered and caused me to reopen my torrid love affair with The Big Bag (a.k.a. 6lbs of pretzel-passion.)

Perhaps you remember this embarassing display of Man-Pretzel love that occurred at last years intern retreat?

The accordion made an appearance (albeit brief), and signalled the end of the festivities.

After everyone left, Ellen and I noticed that my apartment reeked of cabbage. We soon tracked down the culprit... delicious, yet smelly, Ling Ling Potstickers that had been boiled up for late night appeteazers.

They were quickly re-dubbed "Pot Stankers."

For some reason, when I took a big whiff of the fetid Pot Stanker water...

...Ellen and I started laughing and couldn't stop. One of us just had to mention the word Pot Stankers, and we would break out in gales of laughter.

We must have cracked up for at least a 1/2 an hour, so hard that my stomach ached and I shed tears...

...one of which was caught on camera. Good times.
